Just as working with a real estate agent, you do not pay the professional that you have selected to represent your interests. The fees are split between the two agents. Typically this is a 50-50 split, though we provide you with a closing balance statement that shows exactly how the funds are distributed.
The question may come up, of how do we get paid where the boat is being sold directly by its owner, and there is no pre-determined fee to split. This rarely happens, however when it has, we offered to provide the full scope of services for only our typical 50% share.
