SAILING WOMEN; "MASTERING THE BASICS"

"MASTERING THE BASICS" is an 18 hour course that will introduce the student to all aspects of basic sailboat cruising. With additional testing this course may be applied towards your A.S.A. Certification for bareboat chartering. Subjects include:
- Anchoring
- Shipboard terminology
- Points of Sail
- Basic sail trim
- Basic navigation
- Knots and safe line handling
- Introduction to ships systems
- VHF radio operation
- Heavy weather techiques
- Safety and fire prevention
- Crew Overboard Rescue
- Docking and getting underway
Classes will be limited to 4 persons per session and taught in Crows Nest Yachts new boat showroom and aboard new 31' Hunter yachts at St. Croix Marina.
CLASS SCHEDULE
SECTION A: Classroom meets on Wednesday May 12 & May 19 6:00PM-9:00PM at Crows Nest Yachts, Oakdale MN. On-The-Water meets Saturday and Sunday, May 22/23; 10:00AM-5:00PM St.Croix Marina, Hudson, WI.
SECTION B Classroom meets on Wednesday May 12 & May 19 6:00PM-9:00PM at Crows Nest Yachts, Oakdale MN. On-The-Water meets Saturday and Sunday, June 12/13; 10:00AM-5:00PM St.Croix Marina, Hudson, WI.
